Disney Ear Review: Tie-Dye Pink Sherpa Ears

These Tie-Dye Pink Sherpa Ears are Soft as a Cloud and (Practically) Perfect for Spring

Sometimes you’re walking through a store with no intention of buying anything and stop in your tracks because you see something truly wild. That was me in the Emporium recently, staring at a rack of fuzzy, cotton candy colored ears! I’m honestly still not sure what these ears are going for, theme-wise, but they somehow ended up in my possession and I think I like them.

Their pinky, swirly pattern and pale fluffy bow read “spring” to me, but could go with plenty of different outfits!

THESE EARS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE PARKS (SO FAR)

(we’ll update this page if they drop on shopDisney!)

Here’s what the ears look like in real life:

TIE -DYE PINK SHERPA EARS REVIEW

What We Loved

Unique Theme/Style

Good

I’m a big fan of versatile, non-character ears that can express the feeling of a season or an emotion. In this case, the cotton candy colored fluff reminds me of dying easter eggs and spring clouds! I was calling these “wonky sherpa ears in the store” but they’ve actually grown on me!

Headband

Great!

This headband is super plush and comfortable to wear, and the sherpa material gives it a little extra grip so it doesn’t slide around my head

Stitching/Gluing:

Great!

The stitching is is perfectly professional!

Bow:

Good

This bow reminds me of my fat cat: it’s still vaguely bow-shaped, but there’s so much fluff that it’s mostly just a blob with a passing resemblance to a bow.

I think it works with the ears’ theme, though!

These ears aren’t available online yet, so I picked these up at the Magic Kingdom’s Emporium

Pricing: $$

Good

These ears are the new “standard” Disney price of $29.99. Since I bought them in the parks I didn’t have to pay shipping and was able to use my AP discount!

Who would love these?

FashionEarstas who like big cozy sweaters and who wear their bedroom slippers to the grocery store!

What Needs Work

Ear Shape/Size:

Needs Improvement

These ears have a serious forward lean to them, and the two ears are also not quite the same size and shape.

Honestly they always look and feel like they’re about to take a dive off the front of your head.

Wearability:

Needs Improvement

The CVS receipt-length tag is so completely distracting and generally terrible.

Materials:

Needs Improvement

The sherpa material of these ears does shed. I keep finding little pieces of pink fluff on the floor and in my hair.

Where should future FashionEarstas be seen in these ears?

Wear these sherpa ears to Expedition Everest – they’ll keep your head warm on the “snowy” mountain!

Overall Score: (4.1/5)

I love the idea of these strange ears that don’t really have a theme except for “FUN!” I do just wish that they had better construction: they are just a bit cheap and don’t feel sturdy enough to justify the price.

I hope that you found this review helpful! I’d love to hear what you think of all of our ears! Is there a character we should find a pair of ears for next? Make sure you check us out on Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram; chances are you will see our ears in action!
