Disney Ear Review: Mickey Pretzel Ears

FashionEarsta’s experience with these 3D Printed Mickey Pretzel ears was more salty than sweet

Disney Snack fashion is on trend right now, so when we saw these 3D Printed Mickey Pretzel ears, we just knew we had to try a pair for ourselves! Especially because they’re perfect to wear to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival that is happening now.

This was Belle of the Ball’s first experience with 3D, interchangeable ears and let’s just say it was… an experience!

And, if you love the Disney Snack fashion as much as we do, check out EarstaDiva’s review of these Disney Dole Whip Ears!

MICKEY PRETZEL EARS REVIEW

What We Loved

Bow

Great!

This is my favorite part of the ears! It is really cute and in keeping with the snacks theme.

The shop also offers more than 30 different options for the bow color but we couldn’t resist going all in on the pretzel theme.

The bow was very crisp and bouncy, holding its shape well.

Ear Shape/Size:

Great!

The shape fits great on the head with these ears.

No issue with shape, size or fit with these ears.

Turnaround Time:

These ears were turned around quickly by the seller! We received them in 2 weeks!

Pricing:

$$

These ears were priced at $38.00 including free shipping!

Honestly, I think they are overpriced for a single pair of ears, but you can interchange the headband with different ears from the same shop, which makes the $38.00 price more manageable.

Unique Theme/Style:

Good.

We LOVE Disney Snacks and we LOVE fashion so we wanted to try another pair of Snack inspired Ears.

We do love that you can choose a bow that pairs so well with the Pretzel theme.

Headband:

Good.

True Mouse Love uses a 1″ headband for the 3D interchangeable ears.

The headband felt secure and did not feel loose on my head.

The black satin headband is good quality, but I would have preferred a brown headband to coordinate better with the pretzel theme.

Shipping/Packaging:

Great!

True Mouse Love went all out with their packaging.

The ears were well protected and came with care instructions.

What Needs Work

Wearability

Fair.

Good news first! These ears are very comfortable and there was no sliding while wearing these ears were on my head.

One of the best features with these ears is how lightweight they are. I think they would be comfortable for adults and kids based on the lightweight nature of the ears.

Now for the not-so-good news:

I would say that you should get used to seeing some white sprinkles on your shirt. The “salt” sprinkled off quite a bit. The more you wear them on rides or touch them, the more sale on your shirt you will have!

The other issue was that the ears (and especially the velcro attaching them to the headband) were quite flimsy and kept falling off the headband. While they are meant to be interchangeable, we didn’t expect them to fall off so easily.

Stitching/Gluing:

Fair.

While I don’t see any issues with the gluing of the velcro to the headband, I would recommend wider or stronger velcro.

Materials:

Fair.

The bow is the best part of the ears! It’s also the only part that attaches well to the headband and stays put!

The ears are not sticking with the velcro to the headband. They continue to fall off more than I would like with interchangeable ears.

Plus, I am not a fan of the salt falling off as much as it is. Without the salt, the ears lose a bit of their pretzel theme. Plus, they are reminding me I need to brush them off my shoulders!

Where should future FashionEarstas be seen in these ears?

The Germany Pavilion in Epcot, of course! It’s the natural place to wear Mickey Pretzel ears! But, if you are looking for a little cheese with your Mickey Pretzel, try Harambe Fruit Market in Animal Kingdom. Their Mickey Pretzel with Cheese Pretzel is one of the favorite snacks in Animal Kingdom And you can check out the new Disney Kite Tails show premiering in Animal Kingdom on October 1, 2021 while you snack!

Overall Score: (4.0/5)

Overall, while I LOVE the concept of Disney Snack inspired fashion, I was disappointed by the execution of these Mickey Pretzel ears. I just didn’t like that the ears were falling off the headband and that the salt was shaking off so much.
