It’s beginning to feel a lot like the holiday season at Walt Disney World: the Christmas tree is up on Main Street, USA, there are ornaments floating in Hollywood Studio’s Echo Lake, and the first Very Merriest After Hours parties have begun! This means that if you’re visiting the parks over the next few months, you might want a pair of holiday ears to help you get into the spirit of the season! Fortunately, shopDisney has this gorgeous pair of Cranberry Red Holiday Ears!
We recently wore these ears around Disney World’s Magic Kingdom to get a feel for their comfort and wearability. We’re happy to report that they stood out from most of the other holiday ears we saw in the parks! Best of all, you can still grab these ears from shopDisney.com!

What We Loved
Unique Theme/Style:
Good
These ears are a deeper cranberry red rather than in-your-face Santa’s Sleigh red! We feel that this sets them apart from most of Disney’s holiday ears while still feeling classically “Christmas.”
Materials:
Great!
The entire ear is plush cranberry velvet, which is soft and super cute. We also enjoyed the multicolored embellishments on the ears, which really twinkle like Christmas lights.
Bow:
Good
The bow is the best part of these ears! It has metallic gold thread woven through it, which catches the light and looks so unique!
Turnaround Time:
2 weeks
These ears came in almost exactly two weeks, which is impressive considering the current shipping and production delays!
Shipping/Packaging
Ok
I know that shopDisney can’t help that the box these ears were shipped in got crushed somewhere in the shipping process. And I do appreciate that this pair shipped in a box rather than a simple mailer as their ears often do.
However, there was no padding or bubble wrap in the box to protect the ears, and we wish they’d show a little more attention to detail in their packaging.
Pricing: $$
At $29.99 (not including shipping) on shopDisney, they are on par with other “standard” Disney Parks ears.
Who would love these?
Disney FashionEarstas who love the holiday season but aren’t the type to wear ugly Christmas sweaters or matching family holiday t-shirts. If you’re more of a pea coat and tall boots kind of FashionEarsta, these unique Red Cranberry Holiday Ears might be for you!
What Needs Work
Ear Shape/Size:
Needs Improvement
The ears are significantly curved forwards, which makes them lean towards the front of your head. It’s not super visible from the front, and maybe my pair was just bent at some point in the manufacturing process…
However, we also saw these with the Baublebar Polka Dots and Pearls ears, so this might be becoming a trend with shopDisney ears.
Stitching/Gluing:
Needs Improvement
Unlink most professionally mass-manufactured ears, these ears came out of the box with a fraying bow. Our pair had long, loose threads coming out of the bow before we ever wore them.
Headband:
Ok
This headband is fabric-lined so it is a bit slippery.
Wearability:
Needs Improvement
These ears are a bit slippery due to the fabric-lined headband. They leaned to the front of my head quite often.
Also, they have one of the new “CVS Receipt” tags which feel approximately 12 miles long and have to be cut off before wearing. However, this leaves an ugly white stub on the outside of your ears… very disappointing.
Where should future FashionEarstas be seen in these ears?
Wear these ears to visit the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail one evening before heading to a nice dinner at The Boathouse or another of the more formal Disney Springs eateries!

We really love the materials and uniqueness of these Cranberry Red Holiday Ears. The slightly misshapen ears, long and awkward tag, and fraying bow knocks it down a few tenths in my scoring.
