Disney Ear Review: Champagne Sequin Ears for New Year’s Eve

Nothing says “New Year’s Eve” like sparkles and champagne… so these champagne sequin ears are perfect!

How difficult can it possibly be to get a cute pair of ears to wear on New Years Eve? Let me tell you, FashionEarstas… it was SO difficult (and we started shopping in September)! ShopDisney didn’t have a perfect pair for what we wanted, and the first two ears we ordered from Etsy were both eventually cancelled!

Thank goodness for BlackMarketEars: when we finally ordered this gorgeous pair of ears from them at the last minute, they broke all the speed records to ship them to us. No joke: these ears made it from California to Florida three days after we clicked “order!”

We recently wore these ears around Disney World’s Magic Kingdom to get a feel for their comfort and wearability. We’re happy to report that these ears are comfy and stylish on top of their super-fast shipping speed!

Here’s what these ears look like in real life:

What We Loved

Ear Shape/Size:

The ears are a bit larger than your standard Disney Parks ears, which we loved! The bow and headband are also slightly oversized, which makes these ears stand out (especially from the “uncrustables” style of flat ears that Disney has been releasing lately)!

Unique Theme/Style:

These ears don’t have a smack-you-in-the-face theme, which makes them versatile. We liked how we could make a “champagne” themed sparkly outfit with them but also just wear them around Disney World at any time of the year.

There is no evidence of stitching or gluing on these ears.

The entire ear is made of sequined fabric, which catches the light very nicely!

The bow is the best part of these ears! It’s huge, and the shape is unique. The Etsy creator calls these the “Alana” style of bow and we love the way it looks!

Turnaround Time:

The box with these ears in it was on my doorstep literally 3 days after we placed the order! This is officially our fastest ear delivery ever!

These ears came in a large, sturdy box and were padded and packaged very professionally.

Pricing: $$

At $35 (not including shipping), these ears were very fairly priced for the quality of product.

Who would love these?

Disney FashionEarstas who are (just maybe) in a little bit of a time crunch and need a cute pair of versatile ears, like, tomorrow!

What Needs Work

This headband is suede-lined so it is a bit slippery. The outside of the headband is also left uncovered, so that distract a bit from the all-over sequined look.

One thing I did love, though, is the little BlackMarketEars tag inside of the headband! It makes the ears feel more professional!

These ears are a bit slippery due to the suede-lined headband. They were quite comfortable, though, and are definitely large enough to be sized for adult heads rather than children’s.

Where should future FashionEarstas be seen in these ears?

These ears would pair well with a fancy celebration dinner at the California Grill! If you’re lucky to snag a reservation during the Magic Kingdom’s fireworks shows (on NYE or otherwise), definitely wear these out onto the balcony to get one of the best views of the fireworks anywhere on Disney property!

Overall Score: (4.8/5)

These champagne sequin ears are gorgeous, versatile, and super speedily-shipped! We’re already planning more outfits that incorporate them, and I’ll be sure to share a photo of my New Years Eve look on our social media!

I hope that you found this review helpful! I’d love to hear what you think of all of our ears! Is there a character we should find a pair of ears for next? Make sure you check us out on Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram; chances are you will see our ears in action!
