It’s a very, merry Mickey Christmas at the home of Chief Ears Officer and Ear Goddess this year, despite missing out on some of the most magical things we all love about Christmastime at Walt Disney World.
For the 2020 holiday season, many things have changed, but you can still count on the flotillas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, beautiful promenades at EPCOT, and seasonal merry motorcades at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Magic Kingdom’s holiday character cavalcades will also show up, and those beloved Toy Soldiers will join the Main Street Philharmonic marching through Magic Kingdom.
But what about the things we’re missing? I mean, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is canceled!!! And we thought that it was high time we had our own celebration here in Pennsylvania, so Chief Ears Officer got himself a shopDisney Mickey Santa hat to celebrate the season in fabulous mouse style!
Celebrate with Us!
If you haven’t already had a chance, check out our Christmas Eve gift to all of you: our C.E.O. (Chief Ears Officer) reading “The Night Before Christmas”, wearing none other than his magical new hat! He may not be the Mouse himself, but he has an awfully good “Ho Ho Ho”!
Also, we hope you’ll let us know if you are visiting WDW during the holidays. We’d love to see your magical photos and celebrate with you in spirit! Holiday magic will be in full force at the 4 theme parks and Disney Springs, and Santa Claus will make time for special pop-up appearances at each location, waving and exclaiming holiday wishes to all.
If you are stuck at home this year, throw your own Minnie’s Dessert Party or Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party with lots of yummy treats! We’re throwing on festive music like you’d hear on Main Street and lighting lots of candles in honor of the missing Candelight Processional this year, because all of us could use a little more magic in our lives this Christmas. So we are wishing you and your family all the glamour and pixie dust in the world!
What We Loved
Excellent. Pretty obvious the two personalities we’re emulating here!
Materials: Good. The fur on the hat and the plaid are a nice fabric, the band inside is sturdy. I’d love it if the ears were made out of a nicer fabric and if the pom pom wasn’t covered in little dark fuzzies!
Excellent. Nice sturdy box, air padding, and tissue paper to protect this hat during the shipping process.
Good. For the most part, these ears were well-constructed, but there were a handful of threads that didn’t get trimmed.
Good! No Bow, but a fabulous hat! Again, lots of little fuzzies on the pom pom, but other than that, good quality.
Who would love these?
Anyone who loves Christmas or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party should have these in their life!
What Needs Work
Ok. The hat is not intuitive and doesn’t lay easily once it’s on your head. (See: pom pom in eyeball photo.) Also is very snug for someone with a bigger head. On the up side, if you have a smaller head, there is an elastic inside that accomodates.
Ok. A sizer inside this hat makes it great for lots of different sized noggins, unless you have a big head… in which case, it’s super snug and may not fit!
Ok. These are strangely on the sides of the head and are a smaller size. The hat and the ears don’t seem proportional.
Where should future FashionEarstas be seen in these ears?
These ears would be perfect when you’re snuggled with family around the tree on Christmas day or taking in the magic at Walt Disney World’s Holly Jolly festivities!
Overall Score: (4.6/5.0)
