Be Our Guest: Beauty and The Beast Ear Review

FashionEarstas, this is my favorite month! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, hands down.  I love everything about it: the food, getting together with friends and family, and, of course, having an entire month to reflect on what I am thankful for.

Our family is fortunate enough to host Thanksgiving every year for our family, and we can have anywhere between 10 and 28 guests!  We always do a sit-down dinner. We cram as many people around the main dining table as we can, we have a lovely tables situated for the kiddos, and then when we have to, we bring in an extra table. I love putting together beautiful tablescapes. Having the perfect music is a must, and of course, delicious food is always key in successful holiday hosting! I would love to share with you a few tips and tricks for a wonderful holiday celebration. Come along with me, FashionEarstas. This year I would love for you to Be My Guest!

First, being the fashion-forward kinda gal I am, I need to get “in the zone” with the proper attire. This year our theme for Thanksgiving is (you guessed it) “Be Our Guest.” So there are definitely some Beauty and the Beast vibes going on over here. I have the PERFECT ears, after all, from All Ears Boutique Co. and they will be adorning my head as I prepare for our holiday feast! When I entertain, especially for a holiday, I start planning weeks, sometimes months in advance. There are to-do lists for EVERYTHING! However, most of the time it all comes down to the day. I love a properly set table, with all the silverware and glassware in all the right places. I will let you in on one of my secret weapons and that is my friend Martha, Martha Stewart that is, she knows a perfectly set table!

After all the plates are on the table, silverware is in place and the glasses are ready to be filled, that is when I start pulling out my mini gourds, pumpkins and battery operated strands of mini lights, and my favorite part, flowers. I love fresh flowers – not too tall, of course – you want to make sure that you can allow your conversation to flow!  A little tip that I have recently found helpful is to start the decorations for your table with a runner. It gives you a good line to decorate within and it fills in the gaps with festive patterns. The other thing I do is bring out the platters and dishes I will have on the table for serving, that way I know where everything fits! Now that we have our table set beautifully, our table-scape looking festive and very impressive, it is time for music!

Since we are having a Disney-themed holiday this year, we decided to have Disney-themed music. We found a delightful album, The Corner of Broadway & Main Street by Voctave.  You will always want easy to listen to music that won’t interfere too much with the conversation!

Fun traditions old and new are always something we try and incorporate at our Thanksgiving table.  We will often ask our family members what they are thankful for and use that as their place card. We ask our kids to write down what they are thankful for and add it to our box from years past. This year, we start a gratitude jar. From Thanksgiving until New Year, each day we will write one thing we are grateful for and then share them on New Year’s Eve.

Once I have checked all my to-do lists to make sure that everything is done, have run the vacuum cleaner one more time, and made sure that Aunt Mildred isn’t sitting too close to a window, I take my moment to enjoy all of the hard work that has gone into celebrating with our family. This is really hard work! You will work hard, you will be tired, but it will be worth it. I wish you a happy and safe November friends!

Good. These took a little over a month to get to us. We are cutting All Ears Boutique a little slack because it is during a pandemic and they do make it clear that there have been shipping delays.

Headband:

Excellent. Nice and sturdy, teeth to stay in place, but not uncomfortable. Ears do not flip or flop on your head!

Who would love these?

These ears would be lovely for anyone that LOVES Beauty and the Beast. All Ears has done a wonderful job in their artistic interpretation.

What Needs Work

Nothing, these ears are pretty perfect!

Where should future FashionEarstas be seen in these ears?

Be Our Guest would be my first recommendation. These would make the perfect impression on his Royal Beasty-ness when you have your photo op with him!
