One must-have item for Disney brides-to-be and newlyweds is the perfect pair of ears. These signify that you are, in fact, The Bride. Hop onto Etsy.com and you can find all kinds of beautiful bridal ears but buyer beware: you usually get what you pay for. A fantastic photo on Etsy is very different from a fantastic pair of ears! And while this is true for any online shopping excursion, things get a little trickier when you’re dealing with anything related to “weddings.”
We’ll explore that a little more when we get to the nitty-gritty ear review, but even if your ears aren’t what you imagined, your friend EarstaDiva is not going to let that get in the way of your happily ever after! So read on for some VIP and couples-only ways to celebrate your honeymoon, wedding, or anniversary!
A Private Fireworks Cruise
This is without a doubt one of the most incredible experiences Walt Disney World has to offer! Once upon a time, I arrived at a WDW resort for my 20th wedding anniversary without anything planned. I was in BIG trouble! I went to the concierge and told him my problem and he asked me to give him a few hours. The next thing I knew, we were booked for this VIP fireworks viewing cruise; it was truly one of the most magical experiences I have ever had!
Sail with your private tour guide as they take you past Walt’s Island, Discovery Island, Disney River Country. Then they’ll finally find the perfect place for you to view the Magic Kingdom’s firework spectacular. Guests are served non-alcoholic drinks and snacks are provided; however, if you want to pop some bubbly it’s BYOB.
Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride
The two Port Orleans resorts have this incredibly romantic service available to guests. After the hot Florida sun finally sets, couples are transported back to the olden days of Louisiana, where they can experience the splendor of the Port Orleans Riverside French Quarter resorts. The stunning scenery will set the mood for a terribly romantic evening. Just be sure not to allow the “clip-clop” of the horses’ hooves to lull you to sleep!
Carriage rides are also available at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort as another option for a romantic getaway.
Fireworks on the Beach
At Walt Disney World’s Polynesian Resort, couples can the perfect waterfront view of the Magic Kingdom’s fireworks. This romantic spot is great for taking a libation and enjoying a secluded moment on the beach. The music from the show is even piped in so that you can enjoy the full experience! Afterwards, enjoy a beautiful stroll around the resort and catch the last few moments of Electrical Water Pageant!
Dueling Pianos and Jelly Rolls
Sometimes couples just want to be entertained and let loose a little! Disney’s Boardwalk area has many places where couples can do just that, but Jelly Rolls has an incredible reputation and is a guest favorite! The dueling pianos show at Jelly Rolls–a popular hot spot–is a perfect late-night entertainment option for couples who don’t go to bed when the parks close. A fantastic combination of music and humor makes this a tremendous date night! These wildly talented musicians are fast on their feet and lead really fun singalongs that get more and more enthusiastic and hilarious as the night goes on!
Don’t forget the Pictures!
Here are my favorite spots for a frame-able couples’ photo:
Cinderella’s Castle (Magic Kingdom)
You do not want to miss getting a kiss in front of Cinderella’s Castle. Extra points if it is a dramatic dip!
Glowing Lanterns (Epcot and the Magic Kingdom)
Find a PhotoPass photographer after dark and they might just let you borrow one of Tinkerbell (Behind the UK pavilion in Epcot) or Rapunzel’s (next to Peter Pan’s Flight in the Magic Kingdom) glowing lanterns. These magic shots will whisk you away to a place where you feel it is only the two of you! Beautifully captured couples will love these gorgeous shots and treasure them for years to come!
*These are currently not available due to COVID-19 precautions, but we hope they will return soon!

What We Loved
Excellent. These are perfectly spaced and shaped!
Good! There is nice color on the front of the ears and bow is a nice sparkly bow.
Good! They are very lights and could be worn all day. The one question would be whether or not the headband would hold up.
Excellent! Beautiful, sturdy and does not flip or flop.
Great. Got them within 2 weeks.
Who would love these?
Brides on a budget that don’t mind a little lower quality ear to celebrate at the parks.
What Needs Work
Fair. The headband feels a little flimsy.
Fair. No signs of glue but there is significant puckering at the headband/seam area.
Poor. Nice Sturdy box but the ears did not fit in the box and they were bent to fit. I have written before that I feel that the ear experience begins when you open your box. I think a bride would be very excited to receive her ears, but this is not what she wants to see.
Materials: Fair. The ears are felt-like material and do not feel very sturdy.
Where should future FashionEarstas be seen in these ears?
Main Street, USA! Make sure to get your picture in front of the castle on a sunny day!
Overall Score: (3.9/5.0)
Once in a while, FashionEarstas, we run into a pair of ears that may be fabulous for some but not for everyone. SO even though I was not enthused with these ears that is not to say that you won’t love them. Please be sure to check out GoldandArrows and see what they have to offer.
Have you ever had a disappointing pair of ears? We would love to hear about it and what you did to make a bad situation better!
