Try the Easter Eggstravaganza Scavenger Hunt at Epcot

Photo: wdwnt

It’s not well-advertised outside of Epcot, but there is a special Easter scavenger hunt running at Walt Disney World! The 2022 Eggstravaganza joins the Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration scavenger hunt at Epcot as a fun, kid-friendly experience!

Mickey has hidden some giant Disney-themed Easter eggs around the World Showcase, and even if you don’t want to shell out $9.99 for the official scavenger hunt, it is still really fun to try and spot the egg hiding in each country’s pavilion! (Our tip: look UP!)

If you purchase the official Eggstravaganza map, you will receive a prize in the form of a 20 oz tumbler! You get to choose between Figment, Orange Bird (my choice) and Spike the Bee designs. All of the tumblers are themed after the Flower and Garden Festival, which is adorable.

Additionally, there’s no need to actually complete the scavenger hunt before receiving your prize. When I bought the map they asked if we just wanted to take the tumbler now! So no need to stress if your littles get bored halfway through the hunt.

Visit the Grand Cottage and Chocolate Easter Egg Display at the Grand Floridian

The Grand Floridian resort is known for their chocolate sculptures (you can see them in the hotel lobby and quick service restaurant year-round) but they step up their game for Easter! This year, you can visit their Easter booth and chocolate egg display until April 18th.

This year, there are eggs inspired by Disney classics like Cinderella and The Rescuers Down Under, plus never movies like Raya and the Last Dragon, Luca, and Encanto!

This whimsical display is just a short ride on the Resort Monorail away from Magic Kingdom, and is the perfect way to escape an afternoon rainstorm at the park. While you’re there, you can even make a stop at the Grand Floridian cafe for brunch – nothing says “Easter” like Eggs Benedict, and it’s a fun excuse to get dressed up!

Secret Easter at Disney Experience: The Easter Parade

So this is not an officially-announced Easter experience, but we think it’s worth planning for if you’ll be at Walt Disney World on Easter Sunday (April 17, 2022). In the past, Disney World has held an Easter Parade at Magic Kingdom park, and with the return of the Festival of Fantasy and visiting school parades, we think there’s a good chance this parade will run in some form this year.

Highlights of this parade include Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny and the Mobile Azalea Trail Maids, a group of young women from Alabama dressed in their festive best.

The last time the full parade ran was in 2019, but our money is on there at least being an Easter-themed cavalcade this year! If nothing else, it might be worth snagging a reservation at Magic Kingdom for the 17th!
