Disney Ear Review: Easter Egg Ears!

FashionEarsta looks to put a spring in our step with these Easter Egg ears, but ends up tripping with this pair of ears!

It’s official. I am not a fan of 3D printed ears. I know many of you are, but for me, I have had two experiences with 3D printed ears and both have been complete misses!

For a pair of Easter Egg ears, I looked to the popular Etsy shop, EarCandyCreations. The shop sells more than 150 3D printed ears AND is a 5-star rated shop. They have more than 7,200 sales!

I really loved this spring pattern and felt like I should give 3D printed ears a second chance, so I went for it! Unfortunately, I did not have the same positive experience as many other customers.

My fellow FashionEarsta, The Fancy Floridian, took these ears (carefully packed in a hat box) to Disney World to photograph them and they fell apart. And when I say fell apart, I mean the ears completely came unglued and she was unable to wear them on her trip!

When we contacted the seller, they said that they “use a high grade gorilla strength glue on the bottom and both sides of the ears to almost cradle the ear in glue.” While they offered to fix the ears if we sent them back, all of us were left feeling disappointed in the quality.

Trust me, we transport a lot of ears to the Disney Parks and this has only happened with one other pair of ears!

Easter Egg Ears Review

What We Loved

Unique Theme/Style:

These ears a really cute! We loved the colorful Easter pattern of the bow and the bright pink ears.

Ear Shape/Size:

Great size to the ears! I also thought the little Mickey Mouse icons were a fun touch!

No issues with packaging of the ears. They arrived well protected and in their own box.

Turnaround Time:

We received them quickly and within the expected delivery time listed on the shop’s website.

These ears were priced at $22.99 plus shipping.

The bow screams Easter to me with the beautiful colors and Easter egg design.

What Needs Work

I was a REALLY disappointed to see such a beautiful pair of ears completely fall apart!

Normally, this is where we show you how a pair of ears fits us, but alas, a broken pair of ears is no fun.

The glue was disappointing since the ears fell off! But, we also found issues with the bottom of the headband coming apart.

I loved the white satin but it’s bunching in places in addition to falling apart at the bottom of one side. Plus, it’s so thin that it feels like it would snap in half.

Where should future FashionEarstas be seen in these ears?

We thought these would have been a perfect pair of ears to wear to the Grand Floridian to see the Easter Egg display!

Overall Score: (3.0/5)

Well, I don’t think I’ll venture into the world of 3D printed ears again. I was really disappointed in these Easter Egg ears. I do appreciate the seller’s timely response to our email outlining our issues. But ultimately, I feel like the product was not up to the quality we are used to at FashionEarsta or we saw in the shop’s reviews.
